6 YEARS OLD!!!

This year Cooper is really into Dinosaurs. You can't really find the perfect Dino cake at the store. So I just had them put green grass on cupcakes and I found my own Dino's to top them off. These cupcakes were brought to his class at school. As you can tell, they were very much appreciated and devoured.
Logan loved being in Cooper's class to celebrate. He didn't want to leave.
Later we met up with a few cousins and friends for dinner at McDonald's and a chance to play.
I thought that a Tuesday night at McD's should be relatively quiet. I was wrong. It was McTeacher night and I think the entire Federal Way school district was attending. It didn't matter though, the kids enjoyed themselves and that's what mattered.
After Dinner Cooper ripped through his presents...what a happy boy!
And oh so patiently waited for his Dino Cake!
When we got home Grama Pam delivered his big present!
Happy 6th Birthday to my sweet boy!! I love you!

Roller Skating!!

Our friends twins had their birthday party at the Skating rink and invited our whole family.
It took awhile for everyone to get used to the skates, but as time went on they got more comfortable on wheels.
Logan only had a couple of spills
(his skates were locked so he mostly walked)
But he got right back up and kept going.
Cooper even managed to lose a tooth while eating a piece of watermelon.
That takes talent.

NW Trek with Grandpa and Grandma Twiddy

We were very lucky to take Grandma Nina and Grandpa Jim to NW Trek today. It was Grandpa's first visit and we had alot of fun.
We were the first tram to see the whole family of Caribou. Usually the park staffers quarantine the momma's during pregnancy because their population is low they put them in another part of the park to keep them and the baby safe once it's born. This year they had 2 baby caribou born one in the quarantine and one in the main park. The momma hid most of the time and they couldn't catch her, then she hid the baby so well they didn't know exactly when it was born. But today was the first time that any of the employees had seen the baby out in the open.

The boys had a great time hanging out and looking at the animals.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

After a 5 year dry spell we've managed to finally take the whole family to a Mariner's Game. Thanks to Auntie Freda and her Forrester's Group for allowing it to happen. All day we were talking it up and finally the time arrived. This was Logan's first game and
Cooper's first since he was 1 yr old (which by way of recollection, wasn't alot of fun.)
Today however We had a blast!

I couldn't get them to stop looking at the Moose long enough for a picture.
They were so excited about going to the game they couldn't stand still .
Logan took a quick break on the stairs,
Finally got Cooper and Logan to stand together with their posters.
The ushers gave the boys a couple of baseball cards each and they would not let them out of their hands. We had pretty good seats because we were in the handicapped section with Freda. It turned out to be a great place for us because the boys could get up and walk behind us and move seats without disturbing the whole row. (And I didn't feel so claustrophobic)
Logan was amazed by the field and "the throwers" (pitcher's in the bull pen). As soon as the first pitch was thrown Logan says, " I want to be a ball player, I want to play too!"

At the top of the 7th inning I had Logan on my lap and started singing, "Take me out to the ballgame," and practicing with him. It's his favorite song to sing, and we also have a bear that sings it, so he's familiar with the song. After a couple of time by myself LJ wanted to practice to...

Finally the time came for everyone to sing...just watch his face when he realizes what is going on.

Did you notice Cooper singing along too?
(No he doesn't walk off, he gets up and stands next to me)
I love having boys! Who cares the Mariners lost.
It was totally worth seeing the smiles and the boys having a great time.

Logan now goes around the house and at the store telling everyone that he wants to throw the ball like Ichiro.
