Our 1st Hockey Game!

Tonight we went to our first Hockey game! James' Aunt Freda is a member of a Forresters group, and often invites us to fun events. Last year we went to a Seattle Sonics game, this year we went to the Seattle Thunderbirds. The boys loved it. Before the game we walked around the meeting all the local mascots from various businesses and of course we had to get a picture with the team mascot, Cool Bird.
Honestly, I didn't really know what to expect at a hockey game. (I half expected to see alot of fights, there was one, but it was small and short.) I know the basics of the sport, but not to where I know what every call/penalty means. I know a good pounding into the wall when I see one, and I know what a Zambonie is. If fact, during one of the time-outs there was a dance contest to win a ride on one during the first intermission. As most of you probably don't know, a ride on a zambonie is on my bucket list. Don't know why, just wanna do it. I didn't win this time, but now that I know what I have to do to win, next time, I might have a shot.

The new Kent Events Center is smaller inside than I thought it would be. But I think that is what made it more enjoyable. It wasn't too loud either, except when we scored a goal. The boys were caught up in the action and loved watching the players on the ice up close. Logan got into the act of clapping and cheering, it was so cute! However, I think their favorite action on the ice, was the Mascot Scrimage during the intermission. It was hilarious! I recorded a little of the action...enjoy...Sorry for the shaking, it was hard laughing and recording at the same time.
After that Logan kept asking, " Where's the amimals go?" and saying " I want the amimals back!" We had so much fun, but by the middle of the 3rd period Cooper was ready to go home. I'm glad we stayed the whole time, because we scored one last goal with 20 seconds left in the game. It was kinda funny because for some reason or another, Portland decided to change golies, and one of our players scored with a wide open net. The boys' attention is always on the action, and not the camera. Oh Well. At least we all had fun.

Calling Dr. Logan~ You're needed in room 4 stat!

For Christmas the boys got a Fisher-Price Doctor's kit. I had put it away in the toy box, and they had just found it again last night. Ironically, today was Logan's 2 year appointment with Dr. O, so this worked out great and gave him and I chance to play while waiting for Doc to come in. I wish the whole appointment went as nicely as taking the pictures. Logan wanted nothing to do with the Doctor once he came in. In fact, at his first glance at him walking in the door, My little man says, "No, I don't want the Doctor." Dr. O's response was, "Well that answers my questions regarding his speech." We just laughed about it, then LJ got upset and wanted mommy. He did stop fussing when Dr. used his stethoscope on LJ, and LJ used his on Dr. Anywho, LJ is a very healthy, normal 2 year old.
Dr. Logan's Stats:
34 1/2 inches Tall
30.5 Pounds

Roller Skating Fun

Today was the annual ECE roller-skating field trip. Lets just say that this year was much better. Cooper was able to balance a little better on his own, which means I shouldn't be as sore as I was last year. He wanted to fly solo...I even contemplated putting on skates, but after the Hokey Pokey, CT was ready to leave.

It was fun having an hour or so with just Cooper. I think he had alot of fun. The lighting wasn't very good in this video, but enjoy anyway.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had the most relaxing birthday that I've had in a long time. And I owe it all to Superman. I was able to sleep in, (For some reason I didn't hear my little men wake up, even with the monitor on), and I didn't have to change any diapers ALL DAY! After talking to just about all my long distance friends on the phone, we headed over to the Monsons for My Day of Beauty with Marjorie. I love getting my hair done. Probably because I'm so relaxed afterwards and feel beautiful. Thx for everything M. Later that evening we went to Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse for a yummy dinner with my friends. If you're not in the picture, you're still my friend and I still missed you being there. (JS&JH)Sunday evening we went to my mom's house for a dinner party with all the fam.

We ate, we sang, we rocked.

Proof that my mom rocks.

Happy 2nd Birthday Logan! (Delayed Celebration)

This year we celebrated LJ's Birthday close to the date he was SUPPOSED to be born. December was such a crazy month, and add all the snow and ice, this is how it all turned out. He wasn't to sure about the candles on the cupcakes. He seemed a little nervous, so CT and I helped blow out the candles.

Once he realized it was cake he was all into it! Both boys were. Happy Birthday Little Man!

ZooLights

This is the first year we went to ZooLights as a family. Grandma & Grandpa Smith got the boys a zoo pass and we thought what a better way to have our first visit of the year. It was alot of fun. The only way I could get the kids excited about going was telling them we're going to see big sharks. Once there and they saw the lights they realized how fun it was in the dark. Of course we had to make good on our promise to see the sharks, which I think was the highlight for Cooper. Logan liked the sharks as well, if one came close to the window at his height, we would chase it...as depicted below in the video..

After warming up in the Shark encounter, we headed back outside for more lights. Logan's favorite display was the deer. Any surprise there? Cooper enjoyed all of them...he would name the animals as we passed. I remember seeing alot of the displays that they've had forever, but was pleased to see the new ones... for example, they added the new narrows bridge next to the old one. James was joking and said they should have done a toll booth on the Gig Harbor side.

Happy New Year!

I've finally decided it was time to try and put a video on here... so this is how we celebrated New Years at our house....

James was so tired from being up nearly 24 hours...but he made it and so did the boys...I thought for sure that I would be the only one to stay up...everyone proved me wrong.. Happy New Year!
