Happy Halloween!

Once again Halloween is upon us and the boys get all decked out in all their glory for the pursuit of the sugar rush.
Logan as Scooby Doo.
Cooper as Buzz Lightyear.
Usually we don't trick or treat in our neighborhood, but once outside
they both made a mad dash for their doors. Thankfully they were prepared.
We usually begin our evening with a short ride to Aunt Garnetts house.
Logan didn't make it.
So Cooper did all the work for him.
45 minutes later we were at Grama & Grampa Twiddy's house.
Logan was still asleep.
Our final stop was Grama & Grampa Smith's house. Logan had woken up just in time to eat dinner. Cooper was done trick or treating, and wanted to take his costume off. So I did so. 5 minutes later once the kids started coming to the door, he realized he wanted it back on. Took 5 minutes to get back into it. Time to go out and get some candy.
We met up with our friend Tyler, and we went around the neighborhood. This year was so much fun. It wasn't cold, it wasn't raining, and the boys are old enough that I didn't have to carry anyone 1/2 way around the block!
I was amazed by all the cuteness tonight.

Patching and Carving

Logan and I went to the pumpkin patch again. This time to get our pumpkin. It worked out great since, I only had one kid, it took less than 10 mins. and it was between down pours. Logan took this very seriously, he wanted to get the right one for the family. He even wanted to do all the work pulling the cart, but he needed a little help. Finally he found the right pumpkin.
We took it home, cleaned off the mud, and waited for Family Night to do the rest.
Logan and I gutted the pumpkin while Cooper watched.
He wanted nothing to do with it.
He was however very interested in helping dad with the carving.
All Done.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Pumpkin Patch

This year we tried a new pumpkin patch for the kids. We went to the Thomassan Family Farm, in Enumclaw. I got the idea from a friend's blog. Thanks AL. Of course we picked the wettest day of the week to go, but we sure had a great time.

There were Pigs, goats, rabbits, and miniature ponies.
That was short lived once the kids realized what was in the big barn.
Logan found the bike track.
And Cooper found the Hay maze.
It was long until Jocelyn and Logan followed him over and went
down the slide and through the tunnels.Leave it to Logan to find the Gator. He thought it was more fun than the bikes. Technically, he wasn't supposed to be on it, but what harm is a quick picture.
The it was on to the corn pit. Just as it sounds.
The kids were doing angels,
Diving and sliding. I kept finding corn kernels in their pants, socks,
shoes, and everywhere else you can imagine for 3 days afterwards.
We finished up our trip with a tractor ride.
Maybe next year we'll stay a little longer and do the outside stuff. You know, if it's not pouring. We didn't get a chance to pick out our pumpkin today. 3 kids 5 and under and just me by myself in the pouring rain in a muddy field did not sound like fun.
